I like to bring together musicians that I have worked with but who have not played together before. It is always gratifying and always interesting and sometimes frightening. Case in point. Pure joy and enthusiasm leap from this live recording of jazz standards WITOLD GRABOWIECKI, piano, RANDALL CORYELL, drums JEFF BIRD on double bass playing together as a trio for the first time. I thought that I should record this night. Good idea!!! |
